by the way.. beginning of artist statement.... feedback?

“Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things that escape those who dream only at night.”

 Edgar Allan Poe quotes

( i like this quote... im not sure how to use it yet, but its sort of inspirational to the artist mind..)

Time possesses everybody’s influence on his or her own theatrical life. Art allows time to pause, to emphasize on a moment which otherwise would be lost. I find people are very involved in their own beginnings, middles, and ends… in a selfish world of their own experiences. They tell their stories in hopes for a reaction to verify their feelings. My work however, is not narrative to me. I have few self-portraits, few autobiography works, and even fewer images of my life. I am nothing without the moldings, which have set themselves to create my life. I choose instead to tell stories about other people, other creations in this world, which perhaps doesn’t have the ability to tell their story. I fear most for the generations after me. Humanity has managed to single handedly destroy and entire planet. The beauty of creativity is to appreciate it, not destroy it, to show people, rather than convince them. My artwork is a strong reflection of my efforts to open eyes to the people whom have shut them.

finally... a post.

Im horrible at keeping up with this post thing...
i should really consider being more organized, i forget i have it.
Anyways,
so a quick reaction to the speaker from the Museum School.-
as much as i had decided that schooling in boston wasnt a good idea for me, i have changed my mind. This college seems very promising and has become a top 5 choice aside from Lyme Academy of Arts, SCAD, and Connecticut College. I will also apply to the museum school. I like how laid back their criteria is and how they let their students blaze their own path in choosing classes. A lack of foundation program will save TONS of money, because i wont be required to take these filler classes that could perhaps, be a severe waste of time and money if im already pretty dedicated to what i want to study. Now im just waiting for the information in my mailbox, so i can visit the school and continue my endeavors.
As far as our Fine Arts Seminar Exhibition, we finally decided on a name. I felt like we were taking way to much time on something sort of frivalent to the entire ordeal. I understand a title of a show is important in it drawing attention, however for a one-class type, especially since we will only have a max of 2 pieces per student, a much simpler approach would be just fine for such an exhibition. Now i need to seriously work on my slideshow.. i dont have powerpoint at my house.. so class-time is SO valuable... im worried i wont have it done in time. Presentations in general make me a little nervous.. but time restraints are WAY worse. Alright, well as i think of things worth writing about.. i will make sure to update.

SCHOOLS!

Fortunately, as a class assignment we are to research, gather, and begin to look into transfer requirements for art schools. Its forcing me to start expanding my tunnel vision of CCRI education. After talking with my  teacher, iam beginning to think that SCAD holds a promising future for me. Although i am not keen on the distance from home, they offer an awesome illustration and design program in addition to an Equestrian studies degree.
Iam quite dedicated to finding a school with access to a home for my horse, since he will be coming where ever my education endeavors lead me. SCAD would enable me to take my  horse along. So although i feel as if this school is  a  shot in the dark, its worth the shot.
My second choice would be MassArt. Much closer to home, still accessible to my horse by train, and cost effective.
Thats my rough direction, which i suppose, is better than no direction.
